The long handle spork started because we got tired of wrist-deep Mountain House bags. Every freeze-dried meal on the trail ended the same way - short spork, dirty hands, food on your sleeves. So we made a 9-inch titanium spork with a polished bowl that feels like actual silverware and a handle long enough to reach the bottom of any bag, pot, or jar.
The polished bowl was the breakthrough. Most titanium sporks have a matte finish everywhere - functional but rough on your mouth. Polishing the bowl creates a smooth, comfortable mouthfeel that makes you actually enjoy eating with it. The matte handle stays grippy even when wet. Two finishes, one spork, zero compromise.
