Buy It Once

The Last Flask You Will Ever Buy. Probably the Last One Your Kid Buys Too.

Every stainless flask you have owned has followed the same script: the coating wears, the seams weep, the cap chain snaps, and after a few months your whiskey tastes like the flask instead of the barrel. This one is a single shell of solid titanium. No liner to crack, no plating to flake, no seam that rusts. It rides in a work jacket for decades and hands down like a good tool should.

The Material Argument

Titanium Does Not Negotiate With Your Whiskey

Chromium and nickel in stainless steel react with alcohol the longer it sits. Pewter and copper leach into anything acidic. Lined flasks solve the taste problem by adding a coating that high proof spirits slowly dissolve. Titanium is biologically inert: it does not react with alcohol, acid, or anything else you pour into it. Your spirit comes out exactly as the distiller intended.

Weight
89 g

3.1 oz empty. Lighter than most smartphones in your pocket.

Capacity
260 ml

8.8 fl oz. A proper pour, not a novelty splash.

Coatings and liners
0

Solid titanium throughout. Nothing to wear off, ever.

Note: titanium costs more than stainless up front, and this flask is single wall, so it will not keep a drink cold. What you get for that trade is a flask with zero flavor transfer and zero corrosion for the rest of your life.

On the Job

Built Like a Tool, Not an Accessory

The cap is tethered to the shoulder on a fold-away hinge, so you can open it one handed with gloves on and never watch it roll under the truck. The curved back sits flat against your hip in a jacket or back pocket. Drop it on concrete and it dents like a story, not like a failure. There is nothing on this flask that can break off, because there is almost nothing on this flask.

The Numbers Check Out

Spec It Like You Would Spec Anything Else

Commercially pure titanium at 4.5 g per cubic centimeter runs about 45 percent lighter than the same flask in steel, with a passive oxide layer that makes the surface chemically inert. No chromium, no nickel, no epoxy liner between your drink and the metal. 5.4 inches tall, 0.65 inches thin, 89 grams. The engineering answer to a question stainless has been dodging for a century.

Taste The Difference

Whiskey In, Whiskey Out. Not Whiskey In, Flask Out.

Pour in a 12 year single malt on Friday and it still tastes like a 12 year single malt on Sunday. Titanium leaves no metallic taste or smell in alcohol, water, oil, or vinegar, no matter how long it sits. The kit arrives gift ready: flask, drawstring storage pouch, and a filling funnel, so the first pour goes in clean.

Failure Analysis

Every Flask Fails Somewhere. Find the Failure Mode.

Flasks die in predictable ways: lost caps, cracked liners, corroded seams, tainted spirits. Each one was removed from this design at the drawing stage, not patched afterward.

Component What usually fails This flask
Cap Loose caps roll away, cheap chains snap Knurled cap tethered on a fold-away hinge, cannot be dropped or lost
Body interior Plastic or epoxy liner cracks and leaches into high proof spirits No liner at all, bare inert titanium touches your drink
Metal itself Chromium and nickel in stainless taint flavor over hours Biologically inert titanium, zero flavor transfer
Seams and welds Corrosion starts where steel meets solder Titanium cannot rust, in a pocket or in a pack
Your pocket A full steel flask drags a jacket down 89 g empty, curved back disappears against the hip

How It Works

Filled and Pocketed in 3 Steps

1

Fill

Set the included funnel in the neck and pour. The 260 ml body takes a full standard pour with room to breathe.

2

Twist

A few turns seats the knurled cap. The tether keeps it hanging at the shoulder while you pour, so it is never in your other hand.

3

Pocket

The curved back rides flat against your hip in a jacket, pack, or back pocket. At 89 g you will forget it is there.

Before you order: this is a single wall flask, so it does not insulate: it carries, it does not chill. If you ever warm the contents, uncap first. The included funnel is stainless steel, not titanium. Wash the flask with warm soapy water before first use.

FAQ

Questions, Answered Straight

Will my whiskey really taste different than in a stainless flask?
If the spirit sits more than an hour or two, yes. Chromium and nickel in stainless steel react with alcohol over time, which is that tin like aftertaste you have learned to accept. Titanium is chemically inert, so the drink that comes out is the drink that went in, even days later.
Can I lose the cap?
No. The cap is attached to the shoulder by a fold-away hinge tether. It swings clear for pouring and drinking, and it stays attached in the dark, with gloves on, or three drinks in.
Is it only for alcohol?
No. Because titanium does not react with anything you would drink, the same flask carries water, olive oil, or vinegar without holding a taste or a smell afterward.
Will it dent if I drop it?
Titanium is very strong for its weight, but this is a thin walled ultralight vessel, so a hard drop on concrete can leave a mark. What it will not do is crack a liner, chip a coating, or start corroding, because there is no liner, no coating, and titanium cannot rust.
Does it keep drinks cold?
No. It is single wall by design, which is how it stays at 144 g. It is a carry flask, not an insulated bottle.
How do I clean it?
Warm soapy water and a rinse. The rounded bottom edges leave no corner for residue to hide in. Wash it once before first use.
Is it really a good gift?
It arrives with a drawstring pouch and filling funnel in the box, and the etched eagle will not wear off. A flask is a personal object that gets carried for decades, which is exactly what makes it worth giving.

I'm very happy with this flask. It's very lightweight but strong you don't feel like your going to crush it. The flask came with a funnel and carry sack. Once cleaned with Dawn and hot water there was no oily sent. I've had no leaks and no problems so far.

I never understood why they make flasks with such small openings unlike the Stanley Master Series Flask that has big opening and is easier to clean. Other than that this a pretty decent flask. It also comes with a small stainless steel funnel, too bad it's not titanium also. I havent used it yet. If you squeeze the flask hard it does flex a little inward, but I suspect when its full it shouldn't be a problem.

Works good. Should make a bigger size

It’s good and very light, I just don’t like the logo in the center!!

Product is awesome. Well designed and works great.

Light weight and clean taste

Ordered online and shipped and arrived promptly.

Extreme quality, better than expected! Envy of the golf course.

Can someone make a clever screw cap, or at least make it bigger

This is my second flask and I have made several other purchases. I have never had a problem with any of these products.

nice kit

It has become my designated Woodford Reserve flask, just the right size.

I've only had it a week, so take that into conaideration...but it seems to be a very good product. I like that the cap doesn't get bound up in the containment ring like most flasks. Simple and attractive Also like the 8.8 ounce size. We'll see about it's durability as I'll be using it regularly for some high proof bourbons. TBC

This flask has been a fantastic addition to my adventures! It takes my hammock hangouts to the next level and easily tucks away into my pack. I highly recommend it.

Challenging to fill, as flasks tends to be, the titanium absorbs stains easily (which doesn’t really bother me at all), but bottom line- no impact on flavor of the contents and doesn’t leak. That’s a win in my book.

Used this on a hike in snowy conditions to take some good quality whiskey for the cold nights.

I feel like this will last me a lifetime and best if all it doesn't alter the taste of the whiskey I put in it.

I haven’t used it yet. However, it seems to be very well made. Light weight and very durable. The look really stands out from the other flasks that I own. I will be putting it to the test in a couple of weeks. Looking forward to it.

Quick and satisfied purchase.

Heavy duty flask. Durable. Can't crush, hasn't chipped. Like drinking my whisky without extra flavour. Have drank vodka, tequila, rum, and gin from this other than whisky, and it don't hold flavour from other liquor if you run hot water through it.

Fantastic. Coolest flask I have!

This flask is extremely light weight. Like holding a few pieces of paper. The liquid does not leak out while inside. I don't recall it being stated, though the gasket looks to be silicone and not rubber. This is definitely a good buy. I have not been disappointed with any of my Valtcan products up to this present time.

This product only has one major flaw. No funnel is provided, and it is difficult to fill without one. The narrrow mouth makes it difficult to use most readily available funnels; and i had to wait for a special ordered one.

I bought this as a gift for a family member. After wanting a flask for years, he was 100% satisfied with this and I was greatly satisfied with this price. Great work guys!

I did not receive the flask I ordered. I have written 2 times over the past 2 weeks to customer service as to inquire why I was sent a different flask than I ordered. I have not had response. The flask looks nice but, I'm rather disappointed with the companies customer service.

I purchased this flask to replace a stainless steel flask. I'm not impressed with the quality of its construction. Cons: 1. The cap has a very rough fit; meaning it does not screw on smoothly. The top is very loud to open and close and the hinge holding the cap to the flask rattles due to it being free-floating. 2. The flask itself is very prone to fingerprints, more so than my previous stainless steel flask. Pro: 1. I care a whole lot less about the quality of the flask once I've consumed its contents.

Once I boiled the living hell out of this flask, I started to like it more and more! I give this a 4.5/5 because when I initially opened the package I almost thought it wasn't Ti because of the metallic/oily smell, but with past experience in machine shops I knew it was just some residual machine grease. Cleaned right up with some detergent and boiling a couple times. Now when I put my face up to it I can't detect any smell or flavors like other Ti products I own.

This is an awesome flask. I use it for hiking and appreciate the lightweight yet sturdy construction. I wanted something that was going to last. Moreover, I also appreciate that titanium doesn't taint the flavor of your scotch, whisky, bourbon, etc. I have no hesitations about putting some higher-end stuff in this. I take a swig when I summit to celebrate! I was looking at the snow peak flask initially, but for triple the price and without a cap holder, it was a no-brainer to go with this one. I also appreciate that I'm supporting the brand! I'll be buying future items from this company in the future. Cheers to Valtcan!

I was very disappointed in the quality of the item. Maybe I misunderstood the description, but it was not at all what I was expecting. However, I was able to return it for a full refund without any issues.

I bought this to be used on a 2,660 mile hike on the PCT for my girlfriend so I needed something that was super lightweight and strong enough to handle the abuse that it will definitely incur. I’m very satisfied with the purchase of this titanium flask. It is super lightweight just as advertised and very well built and I have no question it will withstand the abuse. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star was because it arrived slightly dirty with some surface oil on the outside which with a little elbow grease rubbed right off. This was a gift and had I not inspected it first, I wouldn’t have notice which would have made me feel a little uncomfortable when it was being opened. Now with that said I don’t feel me stating this that it should have any negative impact on the seller or someone trying to deciding whether or not to buy this product because this did not impact the quality or performance in any way. One other notable thing to point out for those interested is that this does not come with a filling funnel so do not expect one to be included. For those looking for high end quality at a bargain price I would definitely recommend.

Great for back packing!

Thrilled with this flask, holds plenty and does not leak!

Bought this to use in my backpacking kit. Super light, no weird flavor, no leaks. Way cheaper than the Snow Peak alternative.

Nice flask, good size and quality. It is made from grade 2 titanium and has not imparted any type of metallic taste so far. Bic lighter on picture is shown for size comparison.
