Titanium melts at 3,034 degrees F. A hot campfire runs around 1,100 degrees F. That gap is why you can set every piece of this kit directly on coals, grates, or open flame: boil water, purify any source, cook a meal, then drink from the same vessel. No liner to peel, no coating to burn off, no rust, ever. It is the same biocompatible metal surgeons implant in the human body, because nothing on earth is more non-reactive.

Note: every piece is single wall titanium. It will not keep coffee hot for hours like a vacuum flask, and that is the trade: a double wall bottle can never go on the fire. This one can, which is the whole point.

The canteen body is reinforced: no give when you squeeze it, empty or full. Wire handles fold flat on the cups and hinge out when you need them. Measurement marks are etched inside the cups so you can cook by eye. Rounded bottom edges heat evenly and wipe clean. Nothing on this kit is decoration. Every part earns its weight, and at 350 grams there is not much weight to earn.

A plastic bottle carries water and does nothing else. This kit fills from any source, boils and purifies it over open flame, cooks the meal, strains through the lid, and packs itself away: the 400ml cup nests in the 750ml cup, the canteen seats flush on top, and the whole stack disappears into its case. Fill

Stream, spigot, or lake. Fill the canteen from any source you find.

Set a cup on the coals or hang it from the chain. Boil to purify, then cook right in the cup.

Nest

Small cup into large cup, canteen on top, everything into the MOLLE case. One unit on your hip.

Before you order: This kit is single wall titanium by design, so it goes on the fire but does not insulate like a vacuum bottle. Handles conduct heat over flame: use gloves or tongs. The new cap squeaks until the threads wear in. Wet the cap and screw it on and off about 30 times to speed this up, or rub a little beeswax on the threads. Light scratching around the lid and cap is normal with use and completely safe.

Can I really put this directly in a campfire?
Yes. Every titanium piece can sit directly on coals, grates, or open flame. Titanium melts at 3,034 degrees F and your fire runs around 1,100 degrees F. Use gloves or tongs to lift it, the metal conducts heat.
What exactly is included?

Does it leave a metallic taste?
No. Titanium is biologically inert and does not react with water, coffee, or acidic drinks. There is zero metallic smell or taste, even after long storage. It is the same material used in medical implants for exactly this reason.
Does everything really nest into one unit?
Yes. The 400ml cup nests inside the 750ml cup, the canteen seats flush on top, handles fold flat, and the whole stack fits in the included case. Nested size is about 7.7 x 6 x 3.35 inches.
Will it keep drinks hot or cold?
It is single wall, so no. That is deliberate: a vacuum insulated bottle can never touch a fire. This kit trades insulation for the ability to boil, purify, and cook in the vessel itself.
Why does the cap squeak?
New titanium threads are tight and squeak until worn in. Wet the cap and screw it on and off about 30 times, or apply a small amount of paraffin or beeswax to the threads. It quiets down with use.
How do I care for it?
Wash with warm soapy water before first use. After that it is dishwasher safe. There is no coating to protect, so scrub as hard as you like. Scratches are cosmetic and safe.

I had purchased one from this site page, and 2 from Amazon. I absolutely love them. Super lite, big capacity, and they dont leak. Now; to be fair ; I haven't used any of the set over an open fire yet. But I do not think there will be an issue as this is a well made canteen set. Fast shipping. This is a rock solid product. Physically, it takes the banging of the normal usage. No question on the durability of each segment. The pieces fit in nicely altogether into the carrying case and enables flexibility and versatility in the wild outdoors. After speaking with the designer, I understand the scruff marks to be normal and expected because there is no exterior paint and it is the nature of the titanium. Pleased with my purchase and intend to keep and recommend.

I’m a landscaper and plan to use every day. I can make a hot breakfast at home and bring with me using the mess kit. The canteen keeps water cool and it tastes great. However both main snaps broke already, rendering the pouch useless. Wish that hadn’t happened Tried to rig back up using parachord and that did not work. I would probably oil the snaps if I had it to do over again. If I could get a replacement pouch that would be pretty cool, but I plan to make a carrying strap out of parachord nevertheless.
